Syndicate wins Malaga Beach – Millennium CPL (Pro):

 

This is how it went down (news from Syndicate team):

We managed to win all of our three preliminary matches against one of them was vs. Chilli Peppers starring Mishka Kniaziev (RL) and Devan (X Factor). Then we met Bullets with Pete Utschi, Ollie Lang, Bart Blonski in the quarter finals Sunday morning knockout match. The game was tight with many tough decisions and aggressive moves by both teams. In the end we pulled away with a 5:3 win.
In the Semis we were now up against SK Moscow featuring Konstantin Fedorov (Philli)and Maloy from Russian Legion and Dusty (X-Factor).
The game was even until the 3:3. Gernot won a 1-on-1 vs. Maloy (2 min  which felt like 2h).
We made the next point and smashed them in the last point to take the game with another 5:3 score.

Right after our game, Nexus beat Copenhagen Ducks to meet us in the Finals for 1st Place of Malaga Beach.

Our straight wins to this point and the field which suited us gave us enough confidence to never let Nexus get into their game. We controlled the Dorito side and were also able to keep their Snake Players out of the dangerous spots. Even with some moments of brilliance from Jamie Abbot or Jason Wheeler Nexus was not able to achieve more than 2 Points. Tommie’s bad knee certainly didn’t help but against Pat on the dorito side he did not have a chance anyhow J just kidding.  
The game ended 5:2 making us the first German Team to ever win a CPL Event, and it will not be the last time.
Now we will just work on the consistency.
