MacDev team Blitzkreig win AXL Round 2

Congratulations to Blitzkreig for their outstanding performance over the weekend to take out AXL round 2 in Camden, NSW.

 

Words from the team Captain, Luke Henry:

Well we have just completed round 2 here of AXL in Australia, and after round our round 1 result of 4th, we managed to step it up and take 1st place in the highest division.
We went through the tourney with 3 Draws and 7 wins and only dropped 2 points in the finals taking it to Blade 5/0 in the semi and 3/2 to XFXFighter$ Destruction in the final.
Our lanes where quite strong all weekend with Matt Flemming (Boston) and Andre (NZ) getting the vital Gs off the break to open up the games.
Jonno Clark (NZ) was able to control and shut down the Dorito side from Snake 2 giving our Dorito players (Dex and Spike) the ability to wrap and control the agles taking the easy kills on their side and locking the opposition into the snake corner zone.
With quick game closes from Jonno Clark and Ty Barlow (DXG Dubai) and precision run throughs to take the final bodies, I as the coach/captain couldn’t be happier with the way the boys performed over the weekend.
We had no issues with our Droids and RXs which rocked all weekend. Fast, quiet and efficient and they just keep getting better.
I cannot thank Macdev enough for looking after us and staying with us till now our first win. I plan to give them a few more this year and take the title as AXL series champions.
Lucky for us our ranks will be boosted in round 3 with the addition of Gabe and Noel both from Boston coming over for round 3 and helping us take it home again.
